Welfare rights service

Evidence shows that families affected by disability are more likely than other families to experience social exclusion and to live in poverty. The welfare rights service can help to:

• Identify benefit entitlement
• Fill in application forms
• Carry out financial reviews

In 2010-11, the Welfare Rights team helped carers and disabled people to access financial gains of over £250,000. The service has National Standards accreditation.
