UPBEET
The UPBEET project is jointly managed by the Young Carers Porejct and the Princess Royal Trust Dundee Carers Centre. The project supports carers between the ages of 16 and 19 years old.
Young adult carers may have limited access to opportunities that others take for granted. Caring responsibilites can have a negative effect on their lives, including poor school attendance and attianment at school, in future education or in the work place. Poor social contact and negative health effects are also common.
The UPBEET project can help carers access confidntial information and support in areas including person development, entitlement to benefits and CV/interview skills, as well as accessing flexible opportunities to combine education, training, or employment with their caring role.
